  1. A piece of information I really enjoyed was The Genealogy of the Supermarket. The piece is basically a fake genealogy of people and faces that you find on food or other items at the grocery store. I like this piece because it is really funny. However, the piece works because it is assembled like a real family tree. At first, I wasn't sure about what was being depicted, then I saw the quaker oats guy and I realized what the joke was. The background is also very asthetically pleasing because I like Paisley. The peice is also a very interesting look at American culture because everybody recognizes the people or icons on the food they eat.

  2. I liked the graph representing breakups and when they occur according to face book statuses. That was funny because at Christmas it was lowest and "too cruel" was next to it. It was very detailed and it depicted the information very clearly. It was also very interesting to see the trends and which days it was most popular to brek up with someone. The way it increased in the spring and summer was also funny. And goodness people breakup a lot. I know a couple people that go in and out of relationships every couple weeks so them alone would make a good chart, and it would explain the numbers. I like the chart that was used because it looks business like and serious, but it's sort of a comical topic.

  3. so i watched yhe video from TED and i think that dude is right . most of tiime when pople have to face the boring information . Like in a math class if numbers would be collofull it would be more interesting . i belive it has to do something with natural instinct like for example animals dont react as much when they se shapes . more when they see collors . like cat plaing with laser pointer

  4. I enjoyed the strange maps, especially the ones about the ways different countries are viewed by different groups of people. Some of the things labeled for each country require some background knowledge, but because there are so many, if you dont know what one of them are you can still have a good chuckle at them. Most of the time I understood the joke, or understood it after reading the little paragraphs attached to each one. these maps are part of the influence i have on the piece i made for the assignment.
